Depositional Facies Model and Reservoir Quality of Paleogene Limestone in Labengki Island, Southeast Sulawesi

Eastern Indonesia has become an attractive venture for hydrocarbon exploration since 10 years ago. The discovery of from Miocene carbonate Tondo Formation opened a new opportunity and hopes in the Southeast Sulawesi region. Can we find other potential reservoirs Sulawesi? In this study, assess reconstruct depositional model reservoir quality Paleogene Tampakura Labengki Island, Sulawesi. This field observation petrographical study revealed that: (1) comprises mainly grainstone, boundstone floatstone with minor packstone dolomitic wackestone/mudstone, (2) was deposited wide sand shoals reef margin belt rimmed shelf, (3) Boundstone facies could be best candidate region they show extensive porosities development cavernous fracture porosity, (4) Dolomite cementation deteriorated which platform interior-restricted marine, (5) Extensive calcite grainstone reduced Formation. However, locally, solution enlarged porosity may have enhanced it. We suggest that post collision event Late Oligocene - Early between Australian-originated microcontinent ophiolite complex highly responsible to create porosity. resulted folding uplifting subaerial exposure. strata were exposed surface developing potentially becoming next target.Keywords: Carbonate facies, Kendari Basin, quality,
